QUESTION: I haven't started it in years, and was wondering on what steps do i need to take to get it running.

Answer
After five years the first thing that should be done is to drain out any old gas that may be in the tank and put in at least five gallons of fresh fuel, the battery may need to be replaced, remove the spark plugs and put a small amount of oil in each cylinder and crank it over a few times then reinstall the spark plugs and see if it will start, check the engine oil level, check the coolant level, let me know what happens and I'll get back to you.
