Toyota Repair: 92 Corolla how much antifreeze does it hold, antifreeze, thermostat

Hi Ted. I have a 92 Corolla and am going to replace my thermostat this weekend. I do not have the owner's manual for the car and wanted to know how much antifreeze the radiator holds. I am going to use the green Prestone 50/50 mixture. I figure the radiator holds about 1 and a 1/2 gallons. Am I close? Thanks!

Yes, it's a little more than four quarts, make sure to turn the heater on while running the engine until the thermostat opens, when warm air comes out of the heater vents the thermostat is open then just add coolant slowly until the level stops dropping.
