Toyota Repair: 1993 Toyota Camry, heater control valve, rubber hoses

Question
I have a 93 Toyota Camry that will only supply 80 degree F air this winter. This is with the temp gauge at 1/2 way and the ambient temp is 0 degrees F. The antifreeze seems to be full and by using a touch probe, the supply line to the heating core on both sides of the hot/cold valve is around 150 degrees F. and the return temp on the rubber hoses is around 110 degrees F. With these kind of temperatures I would expect to have a warmer supply temp. In Canada we need the heat in our car. Is it possible that a warmer thermostat is required? Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Answer
Just because both hoses are hot doesn't mean the coolant is circulating through the heater core, check to make sure the heater control valve is working, make sure the control cable is attached and the valve control lever moves when moving the control knob inside, the valve should be under the hood on the firewall.
