Toyota Repair: Directionals and emer flasher issues, toyota camry, emergency flasher

Question
Hello Ted!

I also have a 1999 Toyota Camry, with directional and flasher issues. The directional indicator on the dash doesn't light up and of course doesn't operate. Emergency flasher the same issue, both seem to stop working at the same time.Checked fuses, all were fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Steve

Answer
Possibly a bad flasher unit, it's located under the left kick panel on a small relay block, it should say flasher relay on it, it's not very expensive so I would say try replacing it and see if it fixes the problem, if not a voltmeter is going to be needed to check some voltages to some of the wires and it may take removal of some of the parts to check them.
