Toyota Repair: turn signal turmoil, left turn signal, dash lights

Question
I have a 98 Tacoma TRD with the 5VE-FE and a few days ago I changed the oil and rotated the tires. Upon completion I had my sister back the truck out of the garage and then I got in the truck to move it. This is when things got interesting. I noticed that the left turn signal was on and not flashing instead displaying a solid green left turn arrow. At this point the headlights were on. So I turned the headlights off and then all kinds of lights were flashing including some of the right turn signals as well as the radio(aftermarket CD player). Also the dash lights were flashing. Nothing flashes when the headlights are on but the four-ways do work correctly. I have pulled fuses and switched them and the relays appear to be working correctly although I didn't get the ohmmeter out.  Any help would be appreciated especially since it seems that the Toyota relays don't go bad to often.

Answer
Make sure to check all the bulbs in the rear, check the sockets for any corrosion or burned spots and check the white/black ground wire donnections. Check for bulbs that may be mixed up, a single contact in a dual contact socket can cause all kinds of problems, if nothing can be found there let me know if nit has an aftermarket or factory installed trailer hitch.
