Question
QUESTION: Receb-ntly while jumping my car the 2 jumper cables touched and blew my 100 Amp Alt fuse . I could not get it out so I checked continuity to the open space next to it and it was there so I placed a new 100 amp fuse in there and everything is now working. How do I get the blown fuse out. It wont budge in fact the plastic case come off so I pulled on the pins in the fuse but they still wont come out. How does the od fuse come out so that I can put a new one in where it belongs. Thanks Ed

ANSWER: The fuse has two small bolts holding it in, the fuse box has to be removed and opened on the bottom to get the fuse out.

QUESTION: Can you give me any information as to how it comes out? I would appreciate some info. Thanks Ed

Answer
Disconnect the battery. In some cases I have been able to pull the smaller block that has the 100A in out from the top, look closely for some plastic tabs on the edges of the block, by pushing them to release them the block may pull up enough to remove the small bolts holding the fuse in, keep in mind there are large wires attached to the fuse so it will only come up a little but it may be enough to get to the bolts.
