Toyota Repair: Gas smell from Toyota Rav4 2001, rav4 2001, toyota rav4

Recently I have noticed a strong gas odor inside of my  2001 Toyota Rav4 when it is in park or idling-can you tell me what is causing this and what can expect to pay to repair it?

It could be may things, the most common would be a missing gas cap but you probably checked that already, fuel leaks are very uncommon on toyotas, I think the best thing would be to have the dealer check it since if there is a leak under the hood there is a great fire danger.
