Toyota Repair: Fuel system, mass air flow, air flow meter

Question
Hello again, I have a 1990 Toyota 4x4 Pick-up that I recently had to replace the timing chain cover due to water in the oil. I lifted the head up just enough to get the old gasket off in preparation for the new one. After reassemble of the engine with new parts I tried to start it and all it does is crank over and not start. I checked the fire from the coil and it is good. I rechecked the timing position and all is good. I also tried checking the connection on all the wires I could find but I still did not have any luck. I removed the fuel line coming from the fuel tank and I don’t seem to be getting any fuel to the engine. I was going to try and jump out the mass air flow switch but my Hanes book seems to show different wire colors. I have ohms coming from the center contact to the contact on either side. Is there something else I may be missing? This was the only information I had on the air flow meter.

Answer
Locate the diagnostic check connector under the hood and with the key on put a jumper wire between terminals fp and B+, there should be fuel pressure then. If not then there is a problem with the fuel pump or it's wiring, if there is then the fuel pump and the wiring are good, it may be bad circuit opening relay or loose ground connection, check the main ground wires at the intake plenum chamber, there are a few ground wires connected to one of the bolts.
