Toyota Repair: 94 Camry Passenger Power Window, moon room, test light

Question
QUESTION: I have a 94 Camry with 240K miles.  I bought used and the front passenger side power window has never worked.  All three other windows and moon room work perfectly.  Reading the past questions, it sounds like I need to remove the door panel, but I'm unsure how to properly check to diagnose the issue.  What is the best place to start and best place to get the replacement parts (junkyard, new, etc.)?  Many thanks.

ANSWER: The window motor should be checked first, with the door panel removed locate the power window electrical connector, the wires are green and red. The motor goes up or down by reversing the polarity of these wires by using the switch, using a test light this can be verified by operating the switch up or down, with the test light grounded and the probe at either the red or green wire push the switch up or down, the test light should light up, reverse the light connection to the other wire and the same should happen, if this is so then the motor should be replaced. Another way to test the motor if a test light is not available is to simply disconnect the motor connector and then applying 12 volts to one wire and grounding the other to power up the motor, if it doesn't move in one direction reverse the connections, if it doesn't move at all then the motor should be replaced, if the motor tests good the there is a problem with the master switch, the passenger switch or the wiring between the switch and the motor.

QUESTION: Ok, thanks for that, I tested it, and it is the motor.  Can you please provide detailed instructions on how to replace it?  While testing, I saw a plastic covering, which I'm assuming will need to be removed completely.  What I'm wondering specifically, do I need to put this back, it appears it will be a mess.  Thanks again!

Answer
The plastic covering needs to be removed, try to put it back if possible, it's actually called a vapoor barrier but I doubt that it's that important. You'll need to get the glass into a position to remove the two 10mm bolts that hold it onto the regulator then pull the glass out though the top, if it has the cable type regulator cut the cables to get to these bolts, it's the only way, remove all the 10mm bolts that hold on the regulator, once the regulator is out the motor can be removed from it.
