Toyota Repair: 2001 Tacoma Prerunner 2WD transmission oil changes, tacoma prerunner, tork converter

What is the correct interval for changing out the fluid under light duty usage?  Also, does the filter require changing or is it a fluid swap only - 101K miles on it today.

Answer
It's a good idea to change the fluid every 30,000 miles, toyota doesn't use a transmission filter, it just has a metal screen on the valve body, if the fluid has never been changed I would recommend doing a complete transmission flush which replaces all the old fluid including the tork converter.
