Toyota Repair: Rear window Problems, service bulletins, rear windows

Question
On my 2005 Hight lander I keep having problems with both rear windows, after about a year they will go down but not back up and in one case while driving the driver side rear windows just fell straight down into the door and shattered. This is getting a little ridicules, I took the vehicle to the dealer and they told me it was improper use of a window. Come how do you use a window wrong. Any way this has cost me over 600. I need Help on how to resolve this problem. The car is back at the shop and they have not even looked at the car and my bill is 200 just for them to look at it

Answer
The problem with the highlander rear windows coming off track is that the metal track on the bottom of the window shifts over time, after it's not centered anymore the window will fall out of the regulator. Toyota has never issued any service bulletins for this but have the dealer check for this, the solution is to remove the glass and reposition the metal track on the bottom of the glass to where it's supposed to be, thios information can be found in the factory repair manual.
