Toyota Repair: 2002 Toyota Camry 4 cyl P0420 error, 2002 toyota camry, toyota camry

Question
I have a 2002 Camry and recently had the catalytic converter replaced. Since this time I have experienced problems with P0420. Went to Toyota dealer and they replaced O2 sensor. Still have problem, returned to dealer and dealer blames problem on  aftermarket catalytic converter. a little hesitant since dealer took me for $641.00 for the sensor and now estimates more than $800.00 for new converter. Will using OEM converter correct the problem or just drain my wallet?

Answer
This model camry actually has two catalityc converters, the one attached directly to the exhaust manifold is the one that causes the 420 code, if the rear converter was replaced, which is the sub cat, then the wrong one was replaced, replace the correct converter which is part of the exhaust manifold to fix this and yes, use the factory OEM if possible.
