Toyota Repair: check engine light on 1994 Camry XLE, toyota camry xle, toyota camry

1994 Toyota Camry XLE, 6 cyl, auto trans. Check engine light on. o/d light blinking. Car starts driving in 1st gear, and then goes into 3rd or 4th (I don't know which) at appx 2000 rpm. It seems like 2nd and 3rd gears are locked out. Slow to accelerate, and it sounds as if engine is lugging. Any ideas or solutions?

I may have some idea and even a solution if you can get some diagnostic information stored in the onboard computer for me, can you have the trouble codes retreived and let me know what they are, some autoparts stores like Autozone will do this for free.
