Toyota Repair: How to open gas filler door, toyota highlander hybrid, 2007 toyota highlander

Question
I left my 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid running in my garage for three hours before I discovered I had done this (a quiet battery idling car has it's drawbacks). The 12V battery is dead and because it won't start when I try to jump start it I'm assuming the car is out of gas. With no electricity the fuel filler door opener does not work. My owner's manual describes a manually operated fuel door lever in the left side auxillary box in the luggage compartment and shows a diagram.  This lever does not exist in my car in any of the rear compartments.  My question: is
is there another way to open the fuel filler door or do I have to have my car towed to the dealer?  Thank you for your assistance.

Answer
The easiest way would be to call a roadside service if you happen to be a member. They can energize the battery enough for you to open the fuel door. If you think it is out of gas, have some fuel ready when you open the fuel door. This way, he can also jump start your car at the same time. There must be a manual release for the fuel door. The book might be mistaken in regard to its location.
