Toyota Repair: 2004 Toyota Sequoia Limited Electrical Problems, 2004 toyota sequoia, toyota sequoia

Question
I have an 04 Sequoia that the other day my wife came home and said she turned the key off to turn vehicle off and the lights on dash (and (P) light, other info lights were on not check engine), and the heater controls, and fan were still blowing.  I took to my mechanic hes had for three days and cant locate source of problem.  The biggest problem with it is it doesnt continuously have these issues.  The only time it happens consistently is when the vehicle is left to get cold i.e. over night and get in drive it till it warms up go to cut it off, problem is there.  He mentioned when it is these electrical components are on and truck is turned off if he moves the wire that goes from pos. on battery around back of motor to altenator you can here the components cut in and out when there stuck in the on mode.  He also mention if the seat controls are bumped rather hard the components will cut out and back on.  ANY ANY info would be greatly appreciated!!!!  He seems to want to think it is the volt reg, or the control body, but is still trying to validate that.  Thanks in advance if you get a chance to view and reply!  RJ

Answer
Unless I have experienced an electrical problem like this it's extremely difficult to have an answer other than an educated guess, this vehicle uses a computer to control almost all of the body electricals, it's called the body ECU, it either has a problem or there is a problem in the electrical wiring which would mean physical damage to the engine control wire harness especially if it had been involved in a collision in the past or flooding.
