Toyota Repair: 2002 camry 2.4 4cylinder 120000 miles, piston ring, oil smoke

Question
The oil light is coming on recently it through the belt and over heated but I shut it off when I saw steam.

Answer
The oil may have broken down due to the overheating, unless it has been done already I would recommend changing the engine oil and the filter then see what happens, if the problem persists there may be engine damage caused by the overheating, also look for any oil smoke from the exhaust which would indicate a piston ring problem.
