Toyota Repair: 96 Toyota Camry starter, toyota camry, starter motor

I started the car and it sounds like starter is still spinning, tried to shut off car and starter is still trying to start car. Disconnected battery to shut off car. What's going on?

If common sense told you that the starter was bad, why did you waste my time? You showed no indication in your question that you thought it was the starter.
