Toyota Repair: Changing brake pads on 1999 Sienna Toyota van, changing brake pads, upper pin

Question
Hello,
I have to put brake pads on my son's van.  He lives out of town and I have not worked on this model before could you please let me know what size sockets or wrenches I will need to install brake pads, front and rear on a 1999 Toyota Sienna van.
Thank you,
Larry

Answer
Both the front and rear calipers are held on with 14mm bolts, a ratched and socket works best, you may need a 17mm thin open end wrench to hold the sliding pin, only the bottom 14mm bolt has to be removed then the caliper swings up on the upper pin and out of the way so the pads can be put in, you will also need a large pair of channelock pliers to press the brake pistons back in.
