Toyota Repair: air conditioning/ fuel consumption, fuel consumption, autoparts store

Question
I'm planning to convert my ac to r134,do i need to cahnge anything other than freon and oil? what about my condensing coil I understand using r134 needs more cooling the high side.Pls help. also my fuel started to get higher lately, my friend a mechanic told me to cahnge the temperature sensor (he's not a toyota expert like you do) Is he right (no misfiring or smoke when running only alittle foul smell on the first 2-3 minutes of start-up) thank you for your help.Rudy

Answer
The only thing needed to retrofit the a/c system to R-134 is a kit from the autoparts store, they come with the freon and the adapter valves, just follow the instructions, it's not necessary to replace any other parts, if the kit comes with a bunch of O-rings throw them away. I don't think the temp sernsor is the problem, check the fuel system for a possible leak.
