I have a 1990 toyota celica gt-s with about 216k miles.I had my starter contacts replaced and also my battery terminal was replaced. I know that the battery was unplugged, but now the sunroof will go back but not forward. It just makes a sound like the motor is running but it's not sliding forward. Do you think the sunroof might need to be reintialized? If so, how do i go about it?

This model doesn't have the automatic sunroof therefore it has no computer and reinitialization is not possible. Since the motor is running but the sunroof doesn't move there may be a problem with the motor gear or the actuator cables, remove the motor for inspection of the drive gear and with the motor removed see if the roof can be moved manually, inspect the cables for any damage.
