Toyota Repair: Honda civic si, clutch master, honda civic si

Question
ted i think you have helped me in the past on my toyota-my question is on my 2004 honda civic si, 2.0 liter 5 spd trans. the car has 204,000 and has been perfect-until now. now i know honda is not your specialty, but the question i have should be fairly generic. driving the car the other day, it became very difficult to get into gear, when i would push in the clutch, it felt as though the transmission never disengaged, and indeed the car died in first gear-i thought it might be the clutch master and the slave cylinder-replaced them, bled the system, when i start the car, it shifts fine through all the gears...for a minute-it then goes back to the same hard shifting, and stalling the car in first-shifts smooth as silk when driving, but sitting still it is hard to shift and again stalls the car-any ideas?

Answer
Check closely for a leak at one of the hydraulic lines, especially if the fluid in the reservoir goes down, if absolutely sure there are no leaks then I would suspect a problem with the clutch in which case the transmission should be removed to inspect.
