Toyota Repair: 99 Toyota Solara, air control valve, carbon deposits

Question
My 99 solara fast idle is 1800 then drops to 850. I replaced plugs and wires. It has 90000 miles, and runs great.Does this sound like a dirty throttlebody? thanks alot

Answer
Yes most idle problems are related to carbon deposits in the throttle body and the idle air control valve which is mounted on the throttle body, remove the throttle body and then remove the IAC valve and clean them both with air intake spray cleaner and a brush to remove the carbon deposits.
