Toyota Repair: window regulator jumping out of track, rubber mallet, bottom of the glass

Question
ted - same Q as 7/16/07 - 2003 Highlander driver rear side glass has a "C" channel guide still firmly affixed to glass at bottom edge (as far as i can see), however small light-green rounded-edge plastic square that freely rotates on its pin that fixes it to the end of a lifting arm seems to be coming out of the "C" channel.  "fixed" it twice already but happened AGAIN (wife and child swear neither had activated window - it just started falling down again).  motor, switches seem fine.  is there some small adjustment to the lever arm arrangement needed?  is there something broken deeper inside that i cannnot see without unbolting and removing whole whole regulator from door?  maybe another arm at other end of "C" channel?  when arm is not connected, window glass itself easily slides up and down by hand, no obstructions felt.

Answer
This is somewhat common and the fix is relatively simple, what happens is that the metal channel at the bottom of the glass moves over time and is not centered anymore, if you look at the glass closely you can see where the rubber insulator piece used to be, the solution is to remove the regulator and the glass then remove the bottom metal guide and rubber insulator and reposition it where it should be, in the middle, this can be tricky as the glass can shatter, once the metal piece is removed it should be crimped to make a tighter contact and put back on the glass using a rubber mallet and some silicon lubricant.
