Toyota Repair: 2005 Toyota Sequioa tailgate handle, 2005 toyota sequioa, phillips screws

The tailgate handle broke.  Can you give me directions on how to replace it?  We want to save on labor costs.  Thanks

To get the rear hatch open without removing the inner panel break the remaining piece of the handle off with a pair of pliers, looking into the opening with a flashlight you can see the release lever, with a small hook grab the lever and pull down, make sure the lock is off, unlocked. The door will open, remove the inside panel at this time, remove the license plate, remove the two 10mm nuts on the inside and with a plastic prying tool release the plastic clips holding the license plate holder in place, remove the release cable from the latch and pull the license plate holder off, the handle is connected with two phillips screws.
