Toyota Repair: install 4af engine in 85 corolla that has a 4ac engine?, toyota corolla, efi engine

Ted Iwas just given a 1985 toyota corolla with a seized 8 valve 4ac engine.  I also own and drive a 1988 toyota corolla with a 16 valve 4 af engine but the body is starting to rot and this 85 corolla has never seen a winter its from BC. Is it possible to install my 1988 corolla 4af engine in this mint 85 corolla? I really hope its possible id rather not just use it for parts for my 88 corolla thanks.

The two engines are not compatible because the older one is carbureted and the newer one is fuel injected which would mean all the wiring and the computer from the EFI engine would have to be installed and besides I'm fairly sure the engine blocks are different and will not bolt up to the transmission, it's just not practical to do this, why not try to find a good used 4A-C engine.
