Toyota Repair: Fuel Filter replacement 98 Rav4 2d 4wd, fuel filter replacement, two choices

Hi Ted, I'm a bit perplexed, thinking the threads in the fuel line fitting or fuel filter are crossed. When trying to remove the bottom 14mm fitting of fuel filter it seizes tight after loosening about 1 turn. Any ideas or am I missing something?

Unfortunately this has been a common problem, you have two choices, keep forcing the line until it comes off and hope the threads on the line don't get damaged, a50/50 chance that they will in which case the threads will need to be cleaned up or the line replaced so the new filter can be installed, or you can leave it on.
