Toyota Repair: No Spark, toyota runner, pickup coil

I have a 84 Toyota runner with the 3.0 engine. No spark and went through the checks and found that the coil had no resistance. replaced but still no spark. I now see the check engine light is not coming on. Checked the fuse and all has power. Could this be just a bad ECM?

How many miles?
When you say no spark, does that mean your checking spark at the
plug boot while someone is turning over the engine? If so, its most likely the pickup coil in the distributor. Coils don't go bad on Toyota's.
I suggest you get a used distributor from a junkyard.
