Toyota Repair: Toyota Rav4 97 problem, used toyota rav4, toyota rav4

I recently purchased a used Toyota Rav4 97 which I have start noticing a problem right after I drive for a long drive on a freeway.  The problem starts when I get out from the fee way and either slow down or stop on red light. The moment I slow down the car will start to shake violently and will die.  When that happen all have to do is pull out of the side rode and wait for a couple of minute and start the car again then it will go with no problem. I have taken my car to several mechanics so far nobody can tell me what the real problem is. To date I have changed fuel filter injector, Spare plug, also done a full tune up. Can you please tell me what else to do?  Please help

The symptoms your car has can be an indication of many different problems. Are you running the Air Cond at the time of occurence? Is it an Automatic or Standard? How many miles are on it? Is it overheating?
