Toyota Repair: 1982 Toyota 22R Stalls when warm, toyota 22r, vacuum hoses

I have a 1982 4wd sr5 PU with 130K miles.  It runs great other than, fairly often after running it for 15+ minutes then stopping for a few minutes.  It restarts ok but will not idle.  I need to keep giving it gas (reving to 1500-2000 rpm) or it will stall whenever I put in the clutch.  After a few minutes of this it returns to running fine.

Because its a carburetor engine it could very well be the problem.
Lets assume you have good plugs, wires, air filter, etc. First, check all vacuum hoses from one end to the other for cracks, breaks, or loose fitting. Test the EGR valve with a vacuum pump, its easy, look in a Chilton or Haynes repair manual. If everything checks out the carburetor probably needs rebuilding. Put some carb cleaner in the gas tank and drive a couple of hundred miles and see if it runs better.
