Toyota Repair: toyota 1998 sienna le, fuse box, temperature switch

Question
My engine is running hot.  I just noticed that the fans are not kicking on.  What can I do before I take it to the shop?

Answer
Check the fuses under the hood in the black box marked AM1 and AM2, if they are good then it gets a little more involved because it may be a bad relay, the relays are also located in the fuse box and marked, the temperature switch that turns the fan on may be bad, I think it's located on the bottom of the radiator, if removing the connector from the sensor the fans should run all the time, in that case the sensor should be replaced.
