What colour is the power and the negative wires for the stereo and also the speaker wires please. The corilla is 1500 xl

Hi Kirsty,
Because I've seen wiring color changes for Toyotas in mid year
models it can be confusing. Manuals normally cover many years of a vehicle so the color codes can be off in the there.
I normally just check the wires with a multi-meter. The easiest thing to do is go to a Best Buy or other store that installs stereos and they will sell you a plug in connector from your stereo to the connector on the wiring harness for the stock stereo.
Its simple and quick and only about $15.
Otherwise acquire a Haynes repair manual, Toyota Corolla/Chev Prizm manual #92036, go to page 12-66, radio schematic.
