Toyota Repair: oil, synthetic blend, synthetic oil

Hi, I just purchased a 2008 yaris for my wife and i am thinking about going with a synthetic blend for engine and full syn. in the automatic trans. and trans axle. In your opinion is this a good thing to do? and when would be a good time to do it. it has 400 miles on it now.  Thanks

You can use synthetic oil in the engine if you wish, toyota does not recommend using anything but the designated transmission fluid in the transmission(see your owner's manual) as transmission shifting issues and damaage can result by using other fluids.
