Toyota Repair: 4runner 2000, battery cables, 4runner

Question
When i hit my ignition it misses sometimes. Today I put the key in and it started but the ignition would not stop, even when i took out the key. then all of sudden it stopped and was normal. pl. advise

The problem is that the starter stays engaged and just keeps cranking the engine, this is going to get worse so I would recommend replacing the starter because if it decides to short out completely it can burn the battery cables and possibly damage the battery or worse it may engage when driving.
