Toyota Repair: check engine light for a corolla obd1, jumper wire, toyota corolla

I have a 1995 toyota corolla with the check engine light on. How do you check the code for a obd1 engine light?

Locate the diagnostic check connector under the hood, open the cover and locate the terminals
TE1+E1, put a small jumper wire between these two terminals, the check engine light will start to flash, the code is a two digit number, a code 21 would be two flashes of the light followed by one, it will either keep repeating this code or it will show more codes, there is a pause between each code number, count the code numbers and write them down, then you can let me know what they are.
