Toyota Repair: 2002 Avalon VSC Light Is On, scantool, code numbers

My VSC light just came on and while I do not think there will be a snow storm anytime soon, I think I should take it to the dealer to see what is going on.  I need to know the possibilities so that I will not get ripped off again.

There are many possibilities for this light to turn on but the first step is to connect the car to the diagnostic scantool to retreive the trouble codes, without knowing the code numbers I can't be of any help, after the codes are known you can follow up and let me know what they are and what the dealer recommends before comitting to any repair procedures and spending a lot of money.
