Toyota Repair: change oil in a 1992 camry, oil filler cap, square pegs

I don't know where to put the oil . I popped the hood and it looks like there are 2 places that it can go . Can you help me.   I don't have a manual

On a 4 cylinder engine the oil filler cap is located on top of the engine on the valve cover, it should have a symbol on it that looks like an oil can, on a V-6 it's located on the valve cover near the radiator. Both filler caps are black and have square pegs on the edges.
