Toyota Repair: Toyota camry 4 cyl valve adjustment, toyota camry, valve clearance

Hi, I would like to know where to purchase shims for valve adjustment, shim over bucket style, on a 98 toyota camry 5sfe, 4cyl, 2.2L, sx20. Preferably off the web. I cannot seem to get them locally from dealers here near North port Florida. Can you advise where I can get them and how much each. Thanks, Kurtis

The only place I know that sells the shims is the toyota dealer, if you know what size you need they should be able to order them for you, the are about $8.00 each but keep in mind that there are many, many different sizes to choose from so you will have to measure each valve clearance and add or subtract form the thickness of the existing shim to come up with the correct valve clearance.
