Toyota Repair: 2004 Rav 4 no speedo & other warning lights, bulldog remote starter, 2004 rav 4

Question
Okay here we go.

I had bought a bulldog remote starter unit a while back. Finally had it
installed a few days ago.  We were never able to get the parking lights to
flash and the door locks to work. But the remote did start the car.

Yesterday I dug back in to it after speaking to a tech @ Bulldog. Now I have
no speedometer and the tire pressure VSC Trac and check engine light are
on...

I did the disconnect the neg. Battery thing all for a short period of time like a
minute. I must have been kidding myself when I walked around the car got
back in and hit the ignition key to the run position for giggles and grins. I
figure hey with these new cars using so much of a neg. Input what did I have
to loose. The VSC and check engine went out until I put the car in gear and
drove a few feet.... AND yup still no speedo.

Any suggestions? All welcome and appreciate... My daughter isn’t all that
pleased.

I’ll be back on the phone with Bulldog tomorrow morning, this lock thing is
driving me nuts. I can here and have programmed the unit to through a dual
pulse. I’m on the right wires that they show in there wiring diagram.  I can
test the wired pin outs for lock and unlock and get a change in state(s) both
with the OEM remote and on the door switch... But the bulldog remote won’t
make it happen...

You know at they say no good deed goes unpunished.

Answer
Well at least you have a sense of humor but I'm afraid I can't be of too much help except that there seems to be something not connected correctly, a wire tapped into the wrong wire maybe, sorry but I really don't have any information on this system that you are installing, hope the tech guys at bulldog can help more. The only other help I can offer is to have the trouble codes retreived that make the warning lights come on but I'm sure it's some kind of communication error between a sensor and a computer that needs to see an input signal which is missing.
