Toyota Repair: rough idle 1988 corolla carb, intake manifold gasket, toyota corolla

I have a 1988 toyota corolla with the 4-Af carb engine and a week ago the car started to stall but if pumped the gas pedal constantly it would stay running that went away but now it idles rough and runs rough under 1500rpm I tryed 6 cans of carb cleaner did not make much of a diffrence so i checked all my ignition parts and i have tested resistance and got 2.2k on coil and 8k to 9k per foot on plug wires i have a feeling that is not good please help

I have not worked on a carbureted corolla in a long time but it seems that the problem is with the carburetor, it maz have an internal air leak or the base gasket is leaking, or there is an intake manifold gasket leak, zou can check for an intake leak bz sprazing some carburetor cleaner around the gasket between the head and the manifold and see if the idle speed increases and becomes smooth, if so there is an air leak, if not the carburetor should be replaced.
