Hi, thanks for being here.  I had a new computer installed in September.  Ever since I got it back, the overdrive light has been flashing and I have had to start shifting the car manually (it is an automatic) cuz it felt like in dive it was starting in 3rd gear.  That worked for a couple months.  Now, it is jerking, dying occasionly with a bad jerk, and my manually shifting is no longer doing the job.  Took it to the tranny shop.  They said it was the tranny and rebuilt it.  They did that and it is still doing the same thing.  (they still have it).  Did I need the rebuild?  Did the new computer mess it up?  What could be wrong here?  Thx!

I guess it didn't need the transmission repair if it didn't fix the problem. Why was the computer replaced in the first place? Was this problem there before the computer was replaced? My guess is, not, if so then something happened when the computer was replaced but I still need to know why it was replaced.
