Toyota Repair: 1987 Toyota celica fusible link, fuse block, fuse box

Question
The fusible link has melted and I cannot remove it. It is the 100 amp fusible link that is marked Alt. any suggestions. When I tried to remove it the plastic just shattered and the leads are stuck and I cannot get them to budge.

It's actually bolted in at the bottom inside the fuse box, get the new fuse first from the dealer and you will see that the contacts have holes in them where they are bolted in, the fuse box should be unbolted from the body and the the bottom cover removed, it may be necessary to unplug some of the electrical connectors from the bottom of the fuse block to get to the bolts.
