Toyota Repair: 1996 toyota camry, toyota camry, compression gauge

Question
I have a 1996 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder my service engine light came on and the diagnostic said cylinder 3 misfire. It is running bad always misfire on cyl 3 when I pulled the wire it was sparking fine, and the plug is firing fine as well. What else could be causing the misfire

Answer
Check the cylinder compression, it requires the use of a compression gauge, if the compression is good and not much lower than the other cylinders then I would recommend replacing the distributor cap, rotor, wires and the spark plugs because this sounds like it's an electrical misfire.
