Toyota Repair: 96 Tacoma clutch adjustment, clutch adjustment, pushrod

Question
I have a Tacoma 2w drive with 200,000+ miles and the clutch is spongy, original seems ready to fail. can I adjust the pedal linkage to tighten it up while I save for a new clutch?

Answer
The clutch pushrod can be adjusted, it's located under the dash and enters the back of the master cylinder, also check for a possible hydraulic leak at the master and the release cylinder(on the bellhousing) check the clutch mounting bracket where it attaches to the firewall they have been known to crack and cause release problems.
