Toyota Repair: 2004 toyota 4runner limited v8, shotgun repair, 2004 toyota 4runner

Question
Hi, i just bought a 04 limited with the air suspension. My problem is, the off light (for the suspension) keeps blinking on and off. When i first start it up the light is off, but when i start to drive it, the off light will blink on and off continuously. The suspension is set in the neutral position and it doesnt seem to affect the performance of the bags (unlike some people who complained of terrible ride because it was locked in the low setting). On mine i can't seem to move out of the neutral position either. The switch doesn't do anything.

I went to toyota today and talked with a mechanic and he told me there are two sensors under the truck which measure the ride height of the truck. He said sometimes they get stuck and will throw a code and trip the off light to blink.

I crawled under the truck and found the two sensors he was talking about and they seemed fine and clean. when i jacked the truck up i could see the sensors moving. I shot them with a bunch of wd40 just incase there was something inside that was stuck.

Anyways, i'm out of solutions and was hoping someone on here has had the same problem and could offer some advice. I'm just afrade to take it to the dealer and get ripped off on their shotgun repair methods

Answer
I need to know the trouble code number that is causing the light to flash, did they not give you this information? How many miles are on it? Take it back to the dealer and get them to document the trouble code, this problem may still be under the factory warranty depending on the mileage. If the trouble code is C1735 then toyota has issued a service bulletin TSB SU001-05 that addresses this condition.
