Toyota Repair: serpentine belt noise, gems and minerals, serpentine belt

I have a '91 truck, 4 cylinder.  The belt is quite noisy. Is there an easy way to tighten the belt or to reduce the chirping noise from the belt?  Do I lubricate it, tighten it(and how) or look for other problems causing the noise?  Thanks.

There should be more than one belt depending on if it has a/c and power steering, check the belts for cracks and looseness, if they look cracked and dry they should be replaced, if they are tight and are not loose it may help to spray them with some WD-40.
