Toyota Repair: 1998 toyota corolla, toyota corolla, lock cylinder

Question
The key only turns to ACC but will not turn further. Do I need to replace the Key Lock Cylinder? And if so, how do I get it out? Note:I have two spare keys. None of them worked. So its not the key.

Answer
when you say it will only turn to the acc position, do you mean it won't turn on or completely off?  it sound like the lock cylinder is binding.  just remove column cover and knee bolster, put the key into the acc position and push up on the lock cylinder release pin.  it is located below the lock cylinder in the housing, (look upwards at the housing where the lock cylinder is located, you'll see 1 hole, thats the pin, just push it up with a pick and the cylinder will pull out)
