Toyota Repair: front hub disassembly 91 Toyota 4x4, spacer, rotors

I'm trying to replace my rotors.I removed the hub cover and discovered there is no snapring to remove.There is a bolt and washer,which I removed,and a solid washer on the end of the axelthat seems to be retaining everything.Ive tried to remove it but it wont budge.The repair book is no help.

i think you are fighting the spacer behind the nut, i fought this the first time i took one apart.  the washer/spacer has 1 tooth that is splined to the hub.  it is probably covered in grease. clean it off and you'll probably see it....i could be wrong because i am not 100% clear on your description but shouldn't be far off base....
