Toyota Repair: Restarting a Toyota after 1 year idle, toyota 4runner, oil level

Question
I have a 1993 Toyota 4Runner V6.  It has been parked in my garage for 12 months.  I want to start using it again and need to understand what the protocol should be for getting it up and going again.  I know that I have to get a new battery.  Beyond that I am not sure.  Would like to avoid taking it ot a garage.

Answer
The only other thing to be concerned about would be the gas in the tank, it will detriorate to some degree and may not be combustible anymore, if there is not much fuel in the tank I would recommend filling the tank somehow with fresh fuel before starting the engine, check the oil level, disable the EFI system by removing the EFI fuse under the hood to keep the engine from starting right away until oil pressure builds up, when the pressure comes up try starting it.
