Toyota Repair: 1993 prizm, 1993 geo prizm, geo prizm

Ted, I own a 1993 geo prizm-same thing as corolla and it needs a new 3 speed automatic transmission. The car is a lsi but has the 1.6l in it. I'm needing to know what year geo prizm or corolla transmissions will work as a replacement in my car? BTW the trans was nocked into reverse going down the interstate is why its bad.

The best way is to look at the door sticker on the car where the VIN# is located, it will give the model number of the transmission it will read somthing like A142, that's the transmission designation, it starts with an A and then has some numbers, when locating another transmission just refer to that number and you will get the exact replacement.
