QuestionHi, my friend has a 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5, the check engine light came on and also the VSC lights. I called the local mechanic and he wants to make an appointment in a week but we would feel better doing it ourselves. How do you check the codes? what are the codes for this vehicle?
AnswerHi Jason, there are so many codes you type OBDII codes on serge engine and U can see them. you need scan tool to read codes. there are cheap tools to read codes but it will not help U much. you need to know parameters so you can diagnose vehicle properly. You better go to the shop of your choice.
